The Good Neighbor Community Health Center

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

The Good Neighbor Community Health Center, which is a separate non-profit organization housed within the East-Central District Health Department offers mental health services for the community. Community Health Centers such as Good Neighbor provide affordable, accessible, quality, comprehensive mental health care to the individuals we serve. We provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services to the population we serve. The GNCHC provides family medical care, mental and dental health services. The clinic is partially funded by a foundation grant from the Alegent Health Community Benefit Trust Fund. The dollars received from the trust fund are to increase behavioral health providers and services available to our area and to reduce disparities in behavioral health services through a community coalition.

The mission of the Good Neighbor Community Health Center is to work in collaboration with established community service organizations to increase access to primary preventative health care in order to improve the health of the underserved and vulnerable population. GNCHC works very closely with all other community behavioral health providers to try to stretch the limited dollars available to provide more services for more people. We currently offer psychiatric services and/or therapy services several days per week. In addition 24hour 7 day per week crisis services are provided by the Crisis Navigators and can be reached at 1-866-758-4749 or in Columbus 564-3264.
