The Good Neighbor Community Health Center

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

As a resident of our service area, you are fortunate to have a healthcare safety net available --- the Good Neighbor Community Health Center, which is a separate non-profit organization housed within the East-Central District Health Department. Community Health Centers provide affordable, accessible, quality, comprehensive primary healthcare to the individuals we serve. The Good Neighbor Community Health Center is one of more than 1,000 Community Health Centers located nationally. As a safety net provider we target medically underserved and underinsured populations. We also provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services to the population we serve. The GNCHC provides family medical care, mental and dental health services.

We provide several health services in our community to include comprehensive primary family health care, prenatal care, health screenings, immunizations, case management and patient assistance with pharmaceuticals.

Good Neighbor Community Health Center, like all health centers is held to strict federal scrutiny on the quality and cost-effectiveness of our services. This results in your community health center providing quality, comprehensive primary care to our patients at a very affordable price. In addition to federal scrutiny we have a very comprehensive quality assurance program and are currently focusing on quality initiatives to improve the life of our diabetic patients.

The mission of the Good Neighbor Community Health Center is to work in collaboration with established community service organizations to increase access to primary preventative health care in order to improve the health of the underserved and vulnerable population.

SERVICES OFFERED

As a community health center we offer comprehensive, "one-stop" primary care to our patients. You can get family medical care, X-rays, health/nutrition advice, pharmacy assistance, mental health and dental care at one location.  Call 402-562-8955 to make your appointment.

The Good Neighbor Community Health Center is a federally funded grant program funded under the Public Health Service Act to provide quality primary and preventive health care services to anyone. The Federal Government funds less than 50% of the GNCHC budget.. The rest of the budget is funded from non-government sources, primarily fees for services and donations.
