Mission
The mission of the East-Central District Health Department is to
complement community Health Services in order to make a positive difference in
the quality of life for all individuals within our service area.
Service Area
The service area of the East-Central District Health Department includes
Boone, Colfax, Nance and Platte counties in the state of Nebraska.
Service Sites
While services are provided in all four counties, the ECDHD has two main service sites both located in Columbus. The main office is at
2282 East 32nd Ave which hosts most activities. The Community Wellness Center is located at
3806 Howard Blvd and is primarily an exercise facility.

service area by working in partnership with area agencies. We want to help build a healthier community.

Our Services are for Everyone
You don't have to have special
circumstances such as low income to receive many of our services. Everyone benefits from public
health services that keep our community free from disease. No one
will be denied services at our clinics based on an inability to pay.
