You should know: A parent’s relationship with their child is the foundation of his/her healthy development. All areas of development (social/emotional/intellectual/language/motor)are linked. Each depends on and influences the others. What children experience, including how their parents respond to them, shapes their development as they adapt to the world. Early Development Network Services Coordination

What we're about:

The Early Development Network serves children from birth to age three and their families. A child is eligible for the program if he or she is not developing typically, or has been diagnosed with a health condition that will affect his or her development.

Services Offered:

This network provides services and supports that are designed based on the needs of children and their families with the belief that parents know what is best for their families. The goal of the Early Development Network is to provide coordinated services for families as conveniently as possible. The program helps families to understand their child's disability and provides assistance in dealing with situations that interfere with the child's development. The East Central District Health Department's Early Development Network Services Coordinators cover seven counties in our area to include: Platte, Colfax, Butler, Nance, Polk, Merrick, and Boone.

Cost of Services:

Services are available free of charge.

How you can contact us:

You can contact a services coordinator to learn more about this program or to refer a child by calling 800-564-2805 or 564-4497. Prior parental permission is needed on all referrals made to the program.
